A Step-By-Step Guide On Submitting A Podcast To Stitcher
1. Verify your podcast meets Stitcher's requirements
Stitcher's podcast requirements follow the industry standards. Make sure your show includes:
- Podcast cover art has a square, 1:1 ratio in either JPG or PNG format. The specs are at least 1400px by 1400px.
- The podcast has a unique title.
- The podcast's RSS feed includes at least one episode.
2. Join Stitcher as a Content Provider
Start by heading to Stitcher.com/content-provider and create a new account. Click 'Join Now'. Here you are creating a profile that's specific to content creators to add your podcast's listing.
If you already have a Stitcher Partner account, you can log in here.
3. Enter your podcast's RSS feed URL
Next, you'll receive a pop-up asking for the podcast's RSS feed URL. Go to your podcast hosting provider to find the correct RSS feed link to input here. If the link is invalid, you'll receive an error message from Stitcher. Once the URL is added, click 'Next'.
If you're a Castos user, find your podcast's RSS feed URL under 'Podcast Settings' > 'Distribution'.
4. Authorize adding your podcast to Stitcher
On the next screen, Stitcher will automatically pull in the email address associated with your podcast's RSS feed. You'll receive an email from their team within a few minutes.
Now, head to your inbox and find Stitcher's email with the subject line "Authorize the addition of your show to Stitcher". Inside the email, click the link 'I Approve, Add This Show to Stitcher'.
Go back to Stitcher's set up screen and click 'Got It'.
If you need to update the email address associated with your RSS feed, go to your podcast hosting provider account settings to adjust it. Castos users can update their email address information inside your dashboard. Hover over your username in the top right, click 'My Account', and alter the 'Email Address' field. Click 'Update Account Info' and you're all set.
5. Accept the Terms and Conditions
The next screen includes Stitcher's Terms and Conditions. Read through their terms and click 'Agree'.
6. Congratulations! Your podcast is on Stitcher
On the last set up screen, you'll see a congratulations message that your show has now been added to Stitcher!
Now it's time to add a few more details about your podcast to their platform. Click 'Take me to the Partner Portal' to get started.
7. Modify your podcast's details
Inside the Partner Portal, under the 'Manage Show' tab you can your show's Facebook page, Twitter handle, and website URL. These will appear on your podcast's listing.
Your Partner Portal may have timed out during set up and Stitcher prompts you to sign into your account. If you didn't previously have an account, hit 'Forgot My Password' to receive an email to reset your password.
8. Add a Stitcher subscribe button to your podcast's website
To make it easy for listeners to subscribe to your podcast on Stitcher, consider adding a button to your website. Go to the 'Promote Show' tab to access your podcast's listing URL on Stitcher, embeddable player short-codes and buttons.
